Since D-Day 2009, when we had just lost R.B. Lewellen, we have lost another two men who are part of this story:
In September 2009 Gordon Smith made his final jump. D-Day +65 would be he final D-Day in Normandy, although he will be with us forever...
In October 2009 Mayor Maurice Gidon made a fatal fall from a roof he was working on. He never woke up. The man with a big heart, who opened up his
community for all those veterans and their families, is no more. We have lost two great men, and will cherish our memories of them forever...
